Chongqing Vocational College of Economics and Trade, located in Qianjiang District, Chongqing, is a privately-run full-time higher vocational college approved by the People's Government of Chongqing Municipality, filed with the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, and administered by Chongqing Municipality. The college is a national-level makerspace, a demonstration base for college student entrepreneurship in Chongqing, a social training and evaluation organization for vocational skill level certification in Chongqing, a vocational certification test site for foreign trade in Chongqing, a training site for service outsourcing talents in Chongqing, a construction job training and examination site in Chongqing, and a test center for the College English Application Ability Test.
Chongqing Vocational College of Economics and Trade was established in 2011. In 2017, the college was recognized as a demonstration base for college student entrepreneurship in Chongqing. In April 2020, the college's Fanxing Makerspace was approved as a nationally registered makerspace, advancing to the "national team" level. In March 2024, the college was awarded the honorary title of "Advanced Collective of the 31st Summer World University Games."
As of October 2023, the college covers an area of over 790 mu, with a total construction area of 160,000 square meters. The college has established 30 on-campus internship and training bases and 76 off-campus internship and training bases. The library holds 710,000 volumes, and the value of teaching instruments and equipment exceeds 35 million yuan. The student body comprises more than 10,000 students. As of December 2023, the college has 458 full-time faculty members. As of January 2025, the college has 7 secondary colleges and offers 34 higher vocational programs.
