Zibo Normal College is a full-time regular college at the specialized level approved by the Ministry of Education and sponsored by the People's Government of Zibo City. The predecessor of the school was Zibo Normal School, founded in 1951. In 2000, the original Zibo Normal School merged with the original Zibo Second Normal School. In 2004, the school was upgraded to the first new type of teacher's college in the province that mainly trains primary school preschool teachers. In September 2006, the school moved to its current location. Since the establishment of the Teachers' College, the school has always adhered to cultivating and training primary school general subject teachers and high-quality preschool teachers for Shandong, primary schools, and kindergartens.
