

Zhengzhou Shengda College of Economics and Trade Management was founded in 1993. Its predecessor was Shengda College of Economics and Trade Management of Zhengzhou University. It was funded by Dr. Wang Guangya, a Taiwanese educator from Henan Province, and jointly run with Zhengzhou University. In 2011, it was approved by the Ministry of Education to be transformed into an independently established public welfare and non-profit private undergraduate college and adopted its current name. In 2019, the school successfully passed the qualified assessment of undergraduate teaching work by the Ministry of Education and was praised by experts as "a university with culture, soul and characteristics".
In 2021, it was selected as a key cultivation unit for the project of master's degree awarding in Henan Province. It will be selected as A key cultivation unit (A+) in 2025. The school is a civilized and safe campus in Henan Province, an outstanding private school and a model school for law-based governance in Henan Province, a training base for "dual-qualified" teachers in Henan Province and a postdoctoral innovation practice base in Zhengzhou City.

The university currently offers 51 undergraduate programs and 9 provincial key disciplines, covering 8 disciplines including economics, law, education, literature, science, engineering, management, and art. It has two campuses, namely Longfor and Dengfeng, covering an area of 2,203 mu. There are 30,770 full-time undergraduate students on campus.
The university actively promotes the integration of industry and education, attaches great importance to in-depth cooperation with industry enterprises, and has established five industry colleges, namely Intelligent Accounting, Tencent Cloud Digital Intelligence, 3Q Children's Business, JD Cloud Rural Revitalization E-commerce, and Industrial Metaverse. It has also introduced over 120 enterprises to the campus for practical teaching.
