Zhengzhou Institute of Food Technology

Zhengzhou Institute of Food Technology is a full-time private higher vocational college approved by the People’s Government of Henan Province and filed with the Ministry of Education. Founded with the support of Haoxiangni Health Food Co., Ltd., the institute serves as the council chairman unit of the National Industry-Education Integration Community for Snack Food.

Upholding the school-running guideline of "Satisfy parents, nurture talented students, respond to social demands and keep pace with the times", the institute abides by the motto "Uphold Conscience, Act by Non-interference". Targeting to build a "platform-based, entrepreneurship-oriented, internationalized and industry-education integrated vocational university", it has formed the school spirit of "Gratitude, Patriotism and Perseverance", teaching ethos of "Morality, Benevolence and Dedication", and learning style of "Self-confidence, Passion and Excellence". The institute commits itself to developing major clusters featuring food engineering, food technology, food economy, food management, traditional Chinese medicine healthcare and information technology.

The institute comprises seven schools: School of Intelligent Food Technology, School of Digital Intelligent Business, School of Information Technology, School of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Healthcare, School of Marxism, School of Continuing Education and School of International Education. Adhering to the major establishment philosophy of "Small yet refined, Innovative and specialized", the institute vigorously explores new models of vocational education, promotes the integrated development of industry, teaching, research and innovation, and builds a development community consisting of "campus, industrial parks and scientific research institutions".

The institute attaches great importance to financial support for students from economically disadvantaged families. It helps such students complete their studies smoothly through various channels including national scholarships and grants, national student loans and institutional scholarships.

The institute prioritizes graduate employment. Following the strategy of "All Students Hold Certificates, Build Skilled Henan", it implements the "1+X" Certificate System and integrates the "X" vocational certificates fully into the "1" academic diploma system. By means of curriculum replacement, content enhancement, supplementary learning and in-depth or extensive expansion, vocational certificate training content is embedded into teaching plans to realize the integration of academic courses and vocational certificates. Meanwhile, the institute adheres to the principle of "Promote Learning via Competitions, Evaluate Performance via Competitions". Vocational skill standards are incorporated into competition events to achieve full integration of courses and certificates, laying a solid foundation for cultivating high-quality interdisciplinary skilled talents. Students can obtain vocational skill level certificates of higher grades alongside their academic diplomas, which strongly supports their high-quality employment after graduation.

The institute has two campuses: Zhonghua Road Campus and Chang’an Road Campus.Zhonghua Road Campus is located at No.199 North Zhonghua Road, Xinzheng City, Zhengzhou, close to Huanancheng Station of Metro Line 2. The K2 bus route outside the campus directly connects to the metro station.The under-construction Chang’an Road Campus sits at the northern end of Chang’an Road in the Northern Port Area of Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone. The starting station of Zhengzhou-Xuchang Intercity Metro Line is right at the campus gate. The intercity line connects with Zhengzhou Metro Line 2 at Gangqu North Station for convenient interchange, bringing highly accessible transportation.
