Zhengzhou College of Finance and Economics is a private regular undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education. The school was founded on the basis of Zhengzhou Economic Management School, which was established in 1997. In 2003, it was set up as Zhengzhou Economic and Trade Vocational College at the junior college level, and in 2014, it was upgraded to Zhengzhou University of Finance and Economics at the undergraduate level.

Adhering to the central position of teaching, we have achieved fruitful results in education and teaching. The university has 14 secondary colleges, 2 teaching departments and 38 undergraduate programs, covering six major disciplines: economics, management, engineering, art, literature and education. It has three provincial key disciplines. There are 3 provincial first-class undergraduate major construction points, 6 provincial brand major construction points, and 12 provincial discipline and major construction funding projects. There are 5 provincial first-class undergraduate courses, 14 provincial research-oriented teaching demonstration courses and ideological and political model courses in undergraduate colleges and universities, and 13 provincial excellent online open courses and outstanding online courses. Won 8 provincial-level teaching achievement awards. It has undertaken 51 provincial-level educational reform projects and 41 projects of the Ministry of Education's industry-university cooperation and collaborative education. The school is a provincial-level institution for the construction of innovation and entrepreneurship education practice bases and a municipal-level pilot school for industry-education integration innovation.

Great importance has been attached to the construction of the teaching staff, and the teaching level has been continuously improved. The school adheres to the principle of both attracting and cultivating teachers, and continuously intensifies efforts in the construction of its teaching staff. There are currently 1,351.5 full-time teachers, among whom 1,107 are self-owned full-time teachers (including senior teachers), accounting for 81.91% of the total number of full-time teachers. There are 100 academic and technical leaders of the provincial education department, provincial teaching models, provincial backbone teachers, provincial outstanding teachers, etc. There are 6 provincial outstanding grassroots teaching organizations and 2 provincial innovation studios. Teachers have won 143 awards in the provincial education system's teaching skills competition, classroom teaching innovation competition, young teachers' teaching skills competition, and ideological and political course teaching competition, including 38 special prizes and first prizes.

We have actively promoted collaborative innovation and continuously strengthened our scientific research capabilities. The school adheres to the organic integration of scientific research and teaching, strengthens applied research, and strives to enhance its social service capabilities. There are 13 provincial and municipal-level scientific research and innovation platforms, including provincial engineering technology research centers. A total of 108 provincial and ministerial-level scientific research projects and 1,654 municipal and departmental-level scientific research projects have been obtained. 536 core journal papers have been published and 455 patents have been authorized, among which 144 patents have been transformed into practical applications. In collaboration with institutions such as the Zhengzhou Intellectual Property Association and the National Technology Transfer Center of Xi 'an Jiaotong University in Zhengzhou, we have advanced the intellectual property standardization work and become the first private university in the country to pass the "standardization" certification. In terms of decision-making consultation, a total of 101 teachers and students were organized to participate in key research projects of the municipal government, forming 47 internal references. Among them, 21 were approved by municipal leaders, and 11 were awarded as outstanding achievements in decision-making research by the Zhengzhou Municipal Government.

Constantly improve the school's conditions and create a high-quality educational environment. The total area of the school is 1,854 mu. The total value of teaching and research equipment is 130.3339 million yuan. There are 170 experimental and training rooms. The library has 2.4 million volumes of paper books and 1.44 million volumes of electronic books. It has one national-level mass innovation space, one provincial-level university science and technology park, one provincial-level experimental teaching demonstration center, one provincial-level smart teaching research laboratory, and ten provincial-level off-campus practical education bases. The network infrastructure is complete, and the campus network covers the entire school.

The channels for cooperation and exchanges have been broadened, and the initial results of foreign cooperation have emerged. The school attaches great importance to open education and has signed school-enterprise cooperation agreements with enterprises such as Huawei to jointly build five industry colleges. A "Three-Year Action Plan for Enhancing the Quality of Cadres and Teaching Staff" cooperation agreement was signed with Xi 'an Jiaotong University to jointly carry out scientific research and talent cultivation. For ten consecutive years, we have provided targeted support to the Naqu Vocational and Technical School in Xizang, donating a total of 5.2991 million yuan worth of materials and training 12 batches of 694 teachers and students for it. We have established cooperative and exchange relations with many universities in countries such as the UK and Malaysia, and implemented projects such as overseas training for teachers, overseas visits and exchanges for teachers and students, overseas study for outstanding graduates, and overseas doctoral studies for key teachers. Since 2017, 553 teachers and students have been sent to 14 countries for exchange, study and professional training. Support 107 outstanding graduates and 65 key teachers to pursue further studies at domestic and foreign universities.

Over the past 28 years since its establishment, the school has sent more than 100,000 talents of various types to society and cultivated a large number of outstanding graduates.
