Founded in 1956, the Collegeis a full-time public college approved by Yunnan Provincial People's Government in March 2002 and filed by the Ministry of Education. It is the training unit of the national model vocational education group (alliance), the pilot school of modern apprenticeship system in Yunnan Province, the 110th vocational skill appraisal institute in Yunnan Province, the campus entrepreneurship demonstration platform in Yunnan Province, and the governing unit of Lancang-Mekong vocational education alliance.
