Yichun Vocational College is a full-time higher vocational college approved by the Ministry of Education. It is developed on the basis of the merger of Heilongjiang college Yichun Branch college, Heilongjiang Yichun Normal college and Heilongjiang Yichun Health college. Heilongjiang Yichun Normal college was founded in 1958. In 1984, Yichun Municipal government set up Heilongjiang Forestry Normal College, and in 1993, Heilongjiang Provincial government agreed to recruit students in the name of Heilongjiang college Yichun Branch, and the training level was junior college. In 1999, the Ministry of Education approved the merger of Yichun Normal college and Yichun Branch of Heilongjiang college to establish Yichun Vocational College. At the same time, Heilongjiang college Yichun campus in the name of undergraduate students, two brands, a set of troops. From 2001 to 2014, more than 5,000 undergraduates were trained for 14 consecutive classes. In 2016, the college merged with Heilongjiang Yichun Health college. In the course of more than 60 years, it has cultivated and transported a large number of outstanding talents for Yichun region, Heilongjiang Province and even the whole country.

The college covers an area of 360,000 square meters, with a floor area of 136,000 square meters. There are more than 7300 full-time students in the college. There are 413 teaching and administrative staff, including 262 full-time teachers, 145 full and associate professors, 110 with doctor's and master's degrees, and 165 "double-qualified" teachers. The college has been awarded with 1 provincial-level excellent course, 1 provincial-level excellent teaching team, 2 provincial-level famous teachers, 1 provincial-level rookie teachers and 4 provincial-level excellent teachers. In recent years, 3 teachers have won the provincial first prize and 16 teachers have won the provincial second prize in various skills competitions. The college has approved 15 projects of the provincial Education Planning Office, 8 projects of the provincial Department of Education, 6 projects of the provincial Association of Higher Education, 26 utility model patents and 2 appearance patents. The teachers have compiled 54 monographs and textbooks and published 218 papers.

The college has 6 secondary colleges, namely college of Medical Technology, college of Normal Education, college of Tourism and Business, college of Engineering Application Technology, college of Computer Application Technology and college of Continuing Education, and 2 public education departments, including the Department of Public Education and the Department of Ideological and Political Education. Open stomatology, nursing, medical laboratory technology, traditional Chinese medicine rehabilitation technology, stomatology technology, midwifery, pharmacy, precollege education, early education, music education, arts and crafts design, environmental art design, snow and ice sports and management, tourism management, high-speed railway passenger crew, air crew, modern domestic service and management, modern agricultural economic management, accounting, mechanical and electrical integration There are 30 higher vocational majors, including chemical technology, iron and steel intelligent smelting technology, coal clean utilization technology, intelligent steel rolling technology, automobile inspection and maintenance, forest grassland fire prevention technology, forestry technology, forestry information technology application, computer application technology, e-commerce, e-sports and management.
