YiLi Normal University is located in the "South of the Yangtze River beyond the Great Wall" - Ili. It is a university jointly built by the Ministry of Education, Jiangsu Province and the People's Government of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. For a long time, the school has fully implemented the Party's education policy, adhered to the principle of "educating people with the spirit of Populus euphratica and serving the border area", rooted in the border area for more than 70 years and trained and transported more than 60000 various talents for the society. History: The predecessor of the school is Ili College in Xinjiang Province, which was established in 1948. In 1950, except for normal education, all other majors of the school were merged into Xinjiang University (the predecessor of Xinjiang University). In 1953, the school was renamed Ili Normal School. In 1980, it was upgraded to a general undergraduate college approved by the State Council and named Ili Normal College. In December 2018, it was renamed as Ili Normal University with the approval of the Ministry of Education.

Scientific research: Since 2018, it has won 25 national and provincial (ministerial) awards for various scientific research achievements; 1346 scientific research projects at all levels and of all kinds were obtained, with a supporting fund of 76.1742 million yuan, including 1281 vertical projects, 64.797 million yuan of supporting funds, 65 horizontal projects, and 11.3772 million yuan of funds for school attendance, doubling the scientific research funds for two consecutive years; He has published more than 20 books; 165 patents have been applied; 3203 papers have been published, with an annual average of 640, including 505 high-level academic papers; 9 advisory reports adopted by governments at all levels.

Faculty: There are 1283 teaching staff, including 892 full-time teachers, 158 teaching staff with doctoral degrees, 827 with master's degrees, and 102 in doctoral studies; 346 people with senior professional titles and 433 people with intermediate professional titles. Running conditions: The school covers a total area of 852000 square meters, 296200 square meters of teaching and auxiliary rooms, 186500 square meters of dormitories, 18 experimental centers directly under the management of units, and the use area is 25088 square meters.
