About the University

Yango University, located in Fuzhou City, Fujian Province, is a private full-time ordinary higher education institution approved by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. The university was founded in 2001 based on Fuzhou University. In 2015, it was transformed into an independent private ordinary undergraduate university. In 2017, it was listed as a candidate for obtaining master's degrees by the Fujian Provincial Education Department. In 2022, it was selected as a candidate for building a first-class applied university in Fujian Province.

Yango University adopts the "one campus, two areas" educational model. It covers an area of approximately 1700 acres. The Fuzhou main campus is located in Mawei, Fujian Province, while the Fuzhou coastal campus will be officially put into use in September 2024. Currently, there are over 18,000 full-time students on campus. The college has 8 secondary colleges and offers 40 undergraduate programs, covering eight major disciplines including engineering, science, management, literature, law, and art. Among them, three majors, namely Computer Science and Technology, Electronic Information Engineering, and E-commerce, have been selected as national first-class undergraduate program construction points.

Yango University adheres to the school motto of "Steadfastness, Integrity, Diligence, and Ever-Advancing Brilliance". It closely follows and serves the regional industrial development direction of Fujian Province, cultivating applied talents needed by society. The college has a high-level faculty team, including nearly 30 national and provincial-level high-level talents serving as discipline and professional leaders. Currently, the college has 1,000 staff members, among whom 81.69% are teachers with master's or doctoral degrees. In recent years, Sunshine College has achieved remarkable results in education and teaching as well as research, and has received numerous provincial-level and above teaching and research project awards.

Yango University offers 40 undergraduate programs covering eight disciplines including engineering, science, management, literature, law, and art. Among them, three programs - Computer Science and Technology, Electronic Information Engineering, and E-commerce - have been selected as national first-class undergraduate programs, while five programs - Finance, Law, Fine Arts, Civil Engineering, and Business Administration - have been selected as provincial first-class programs. In addition, the college has multiple provincial first-class undergraduate courses and provincial application-oriented discipline construction projects.

Currently, the college has over 700 full-time teachers, with 75% holding master's or doctoral degrees. The strength of its teaching staff ranks among the top in private colleges. The college also has high-level talents such as scholars receiving the government special allowance, national special-appointed experts, and members of the Ministry of Education's teaching guidance committee serving as discipline and program leaders.

Yango University has achieved remarkable results in educational and teaching reforms, winning multiple provincial teaching achievement awards and educational and teaching reform research projects. The college has been recognized as a national model for deepening innovation and entrepreneurship education reform and has been approved for two provincial modern industry colleges and two provincial teaching teams. In terms of scientific research, the college is a dependent unit of the National Natural Science Foundation and has received projects from both the National Natural Science Foundation and the National Social Science Foundation.

Yango University emphasizes cooperation between industry, academia, and research, implementing the "Thousand Enterprises Plan" to provide students with abundant practical opportunities.
