Xuchang Vocational College of Ceramic is located in Xuchang City, Henan Province. It was founded in 2010 and is a full-time ordinary higher vocational college approved by the People's Government of Henan Province and filed with the Ministry of Education. The school is located in the heart of Central China, with a beautiful environment and convenient transportation. It is close to the Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway, Light Rail Line 17 and Xuchang High-Speed Railway Station. It takes only 40 minutes by car to reach the provincial capital Zhengzhou and only 30 minutes to reach Xinzheng International Airport.

Over the past decade or so since its establishment, the school has fully implemented the Party's educational policy, adhered to the socialist orientation in running schools and the principle of public welfare, and has been rooted in Xuchang, oriented towards Henan Province, and radiating throughout the country. It has cultivated tens of thousands of high-quality technical and skilled talents for the society and made positive contributions to the local economic construction and social development.

The school has two campuses in Xuchang City, the south and the north, with a total planned area of over a thousand mu. It is equipped with basic facilities such as a library, a training center, a standardized sports field, and a lecture hall. The library houses over 200,000 volumes of books, and the total value of teaching instruments and equipment is tens of millions of yuan. It has over 10,000 full-time students and more than 700 staff members, among whom there are nearly 500 full-time teachers. 61% of them have a master's degree or above, 27% hold a deputy senior professional title or above, and 48% are dual-qualified teachers.

Ten departments have been established, namely the Department of Business Administration, the Department of Economics and Trade, the Department of Architectural Engineering, the Department of Design and Art, the Department of Ceramic Engineering, the Department of Information Engineering, the Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, the Department of Transportation, the Department of Humanities and Education, and the Department of Art Performance, offering over 40 majors.

It has jointly built majors and courses with many well-known enterprises, established practical teaching platforms, provided teacher training, and constructed an educational system that includes "classroom teaching - practical teaching - skills training - guidance and assistance - innovative cultivation". By implementing the 1+N certificate model, a smooth employment channel has been established, and a group of applied talents with strong practical abilities, high technical skills and sufficient innovative consciousness have been cultivated.
