

Xinjiang Vocational University of Technology, abbreviated as Xinjiang LiZhiDa, is located at No. 1, Weier Road, Caohu Town, Tumushuke City, Xinjiang. It is a public vocational university at the undergraduate level approved by the Ministry of Education, under the jurisdiction of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps. It has the right to confer bachelor's degrees and is a public full-time vocational college at the undergraduate level with a focus on engineering, featuring textile and clothing, energy and power, and integrating multiple disciplines such as engineering, agriculture, economics, management, and art. It is supported by a "group-style" aid team of 30 domestic vocational colleges led by Shenzhen Polytechnic University.
On June 11, 2025, the Ministry of Education issued a public notice: According to relevant regulations such as the "Higher Education Law of the People's Republic of China" and the "Interim Regulations on the Establishment of Ordinary Higher Education Institutions", and the assessment and evaluation results of the Eighth National Higher Education Institution Establishment Evaluation Committee, after deliberation by the Party Group Meeting of the Ministry of Education, it is proposed to approve the establishment of Xinjiang Vocational University of Technology. On June 19, 2025, the Ministry of Education issued a document approving the establishment of Xinjiang Vocational University of Technology. On September 11, the unveiling ceremony of Xinjiang Vocational University of Technology was held.
As of June 2025, Xinjiang Vocational University of Technology covers an area of 3,152 mu, with six colleges (departments), namely the College of Intelligent Manufacturing, the College of Textile and Clothing, the College of Artificial Intelligence, the College of Economics and Management, the College of Marxism, and the College of General Education. It offers nine undergraduate vocational majors, including Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Automation, Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering and Automation, Modern Textile Engineering Technology, Clothing and Accessories Design, Industrial Internet Technology, Artificial Intelligence Engineering Technology, and Modern Communication Engineering. It is planned to start enrolling students in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in the autumn of 2025. The university has 462 teachers, including 68 professors and 107 associate professors. It has 71 on-campus experimental and training rooms and 63 off-campus internship and training bases, with a collection of 500,000 books.
