Xijing College, located in the ancient city of Xi'an, is a provincial private undergraduate college and a "first-class college" construction unit in Shaanxi Province.

Founded in 1994, Xijing College was approved as an ordinary undergraduate college in 2005, was granted the right to confer bachelor's degree in 2009, passed the qualified assessment of undergraduate education by the Ministry of Education as the first private college in China in 2010, was approved as a pilot unit for master's degree in "Cultivating Talents to Serve the Special Needs of the Country" in 2011, passed the audit and evaluation of undergraduate teaching by the Ministry of Education in 2017, and was approved as the "top college" construction unit by Shaanxi Province in 2018. In 2011, the school was approved to be the pilot unit of master's degree graduate students for "serving national special needs talents cultivation project", in 2017, the school passed the undergraduate teaching audit and evaluation of the Ministry of Education, in 2018, the school was established by Shaanxi Province as the construction unit of "first-class colleges", and in October 2021, the school was formally approved by the Ministry of Education to become a master's degree-granting unit. Based on serving the regional economy and adhering to the development of characteristics, the university has established a professional development plan based on the construction of "three major groups", i.e., the engineering group led by intelligent manufacturing, the economic management group led by auditing and accounting, and the modern art and design with visual communication design as the axis. The university has 5 master's degree programs and 39 undergraduate majors, and has been awarded the honorary titles of "Advanced Collective of National Education System", "Civilized Campus of Shaanxi Province" and "Safe Campus" for many times. The school aims to cultivate first-line engineers or industry-applied talents with sound personality, solid basic knowledge, strong professional practical ability, and the courage to innovate, who are capable of engaging in the practical work of their own professions and solving certain complex problems, and clarifying the talent cultivation concept of "Craftsmanship+Artistic Literacy", and pays close attention to the management of teaching and reforms, as well as the "Four Ones". It has created an overseas learning and training platform for teachers and students.
