Xiangnan College is located in Chenzhou City, Hunan Province. The school covers an area of 1531.5 acres and has a total construction area of 745,400 square meters. The school has 19 teaching units; there are 6 affiliated hospitals, and 2 of the 3 directly affiliated hospitals are national tertiary-level A general hospitals. There are currently 50 undergraduate majors, covering 9 disciplines including economics, law, education, literature, science, engineering, medicine, management, and art. The school recruits students from 30 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions across the country, and currently has 20671 full-time students.

There are 1,224 full-time teachers in the school headquarters, more than 1,500 clinical teachers in directly affiliated hospitals, 530 professors and other senior professional titles, 1068 associate professors and other associate professors, and 480 doctorate teachers.
