The school is located in Siming District, Xiamen City, covering an area of 500.35 mu. It is a full-time vocational college organized by Xiamen Municipal People's Government. Professional education started in 2006. In 2009 and 2015, it passed the first and second rounds of evaluation of talent training in higher vocational colleges. In 2019, it was recognized as a "high-quality specialized higher vocational college" by the Ministry of Education, and in 2020, it was recognized as a demonstration modern higher vocational college in Fujian Province. The school has been awarded the titles of "Civilized School" and "Civilized Campus" in Fujian Province.
