Xi'an Vocational University Of Automobile
Xi'an Vocational University of Automobile is an institution approved by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, and it is the first vocational university named after "automobile" in the country. It is a national demonstration training base for industry-education integration, a national third-batch pilot unit for modern apprenticeship, a Shaanxi provincial training base for high-skilled talents, a Shaanxi provincial university engineering research center for automotive engineering technology, a Shaanxi provincial inheritance base of excellent traditional Chinese culture in ordinary colleges and universities, a patriotic education base of the Xi'an Municipal Committee of the China Democratic League, a vice-chairman unit of the Shaanxi Provincial Society of Automotive Engineering, and a vice-chairman unit of the Shaanxi Provincial Private Education Association. The university is located in Xi'an, a famous historical and cultural city. Since its establishment, the university has always adhered to the original aspiration of cultivating talents for the Party and the country, bravely undertaken the mission of vocational education, and adhered to the school-running philosophy of "people-oriented, pioneering and innovative, highlighting application, and strengthening skills", with the mission of "cultivating first-class vocational talents and assisting the national automobile industry". It takes serving local regional economic and social development as its responsibility, based in Shaanxi, radiating to the northwest, and facing the whole country, taking the road of strengthening connotation and highlighting characteristics. It has trained and delivered more than 120,000 high-level technical and skilled talents to the society. The university has 10 secondary colleges including the College of Intelligent Automobile and Engineering, the College of New Energy Automobile, and the College of Electronic Information Engineering, with 22 undergraduate majors and 37 higher vocational majors, covering 6 professional categories such as equipment manufacturing, transportation, electronic information, finance and trade, culture and art, and news communication. Among them, there are 5 provincial key majors, 1 provincial first-class cultivation major, and 1 modern apprenticeship pilot major, forming a layout with engineering as the main focus, and coordinated development of science, engineering, management, economics, literature, and art. At present, there are more than 20,000 students. The university has successively won honors such as "Shaanxi Provincial Civilized Campus", the Ministry of Education's "One School, One Brand" campus culture brand, and "China Automobile Science and Technology Demonstration College". In 2022, the university was rated as "2022 Annual Well-known Brand of Vocational Colleges" by China National Radio · CNR.cn. In 2024, the university ranked eighth in the China Vocational and Technical University Ranking, was awarded the title of six-star and top vocational and technical university in China, and became the only star vocational undergraduate university in the automotive field in the country.
