Wenzhou University of Technology

The school has taken advantage of the strategic opportunities brought by the "Belt and Road Initiative" to further deepen its communication and cooperation with international universities, and carry out "close and substantive" cooperation with overseas institutions. The school has established cooperative relations with over 30 universities in 20 countries and regions, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, France, Spain, Australia, Hong Kong, China, and Macao. It has jointly established "Silk Road Colleges" with universities in Cambodia and Turkey, and cooperated with the University of Malaya to jointly establish an international advanced civil engineering research center. It has jointly launched a photovoltaic engineer order program with Turkish Strait University and Kadir Has University, and actively promotes educational international cooperation with the "Belt and Road" and the countries along the Lancang-Mekong River. The school is a member of the BGA international certification organization, a "Chinese-foreign cultural exchange talent training base project school" in the field of intelligent manufacturing by the Ministry of Education, the Chairman unit of the Entrepreneurship Education Alliance for Countries along the Lancang-Mekong River， and the Wenzhou base of the International Silk Road Entrepreneurship Education Alliance.

Wenzhou University of Technology (abbreviated as WZUT) is a public undergraduate-level institution of higher learning established by the Wenzhou Municipal People's Government. It is a pilot and demonstration institution for application-oriented education in Zhejiang Province and has been approved as a unit for establishing a master's degree program. The school has received honors such as the National Innovation Education Talent Training Model Innovation Experimental Zone, the National Innovation Space, the "Green School" (for higher education institutions), the Provincial Demonstration Base for Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and the Provincial Entrepreneurship Incubation Base. The school adheres to the school motto of "cultivating virtue and wisdom, following reason and precision in craftsmanship", focusing on Wenzhou, facing the entire country, and connecting with the international community. It effectively plays the roles of cultural leadership, talent support, and technological support, striving to become the driving force for Wenzhou's urban development, the incubator for innovative talents, and a prestigious educational brand. Standing at a new development starting point, the school has set the educational goal of building a local high-level applied university of science and technology. It has proposed the "136" strategic development plan for the construction of an applied university, aiming to fully establish a distinctive, highly influential, and internationally renowned applied undergraduate institution by 2035.
