Tianping College of Suzhou University of Science and Technology is a full-time regular higher education institution at the undergraduate level, approved by the Ministry of Education, with a four-year academic system. The college was established in 1999 and began enrolling students in September 2000. It currently has two campuses in Suzhou and Nanjing. The Suzhou campus is located at No. 55 Changjiang Road, High-tech Zone, Suzhou, and the Nanjing campus is located at No. 29 Chengxin Road, Gaochun District, Nanjing.

The college currently has seven faculties and one department, including the School of Language and Culture and the School of Intelligent Manufacturing, offering 33 majors such as Electrical Engineering and Automation, Mechanical Design Manufacturing and Automation, and Chinese Language and Literature. The college has developed a professional layout primarily focused on engineering, with coordinated development across engineering, science, literature, management, and arts. Among them, Logistics Management, Japanese, and Mechanical Design Manufacturing and Automation have been approved as first-class (specialized) professional construction sites in Jiangsu Province, and Civil Engineering is part of the third phase of the Jiangsu Province Brand Engineering project. In recent years, our college has continuously improved educational conditions, strengthened internal development, and enhanced overall educational capabilities.

The college has established a faculty team combining full-time and part-time staff. Among the full-time teachers, 13 have been selected for the Jiangsu Province “Qinglan Project” for outstanding young backbone teachers. The “Physical Education and Training Teaching Team” was awarded the Jiangsu Higher Education Qinglan Project Excellent Teaching Team. Four teachers have received the municipal-level titles of “Outstanding Teacher” and “Outstanding Educator,” and two have received the “Suzhou Youth May Fourth Medal.”

The college emphasizes student employment, aims at cultivating application-oriented talents, strengthens daily management, strictly controls teaching quality, highlights practical application, and supports the comprehensive development of students morally, intellectually, physically, aesthetically, and in labor skills. In the past three years, our students have won a total of 1,381 awards in various academic competitions, including 259 national awards and 1,122 provincial awards. Our students have made continuous breakthroughs in major competitions such as the National College BIM Graduation Design Innovation Competition, the National College Business Elite Challenge, the National College Student Foreign Language Ability Competition, the National College Language and Literacy Competition, and the National College Digital Art Design Competition, achieving remarkable results. Over more than twenty years of development, the college has delivered nearly 40,000 graduates to society. Graduates have solid foundational skills and strong innovation abilities and are highly recognized and praised by employers.

The Nanjing campus covers an area of 755 acres, with a planned construction area of 530,000 square meters. Currently, teaching buildings, laboratory buildings, art buildings, a library, and dormitory buildings have been completed, covering over 277,000 square meters. The campus is equipped with smart classrooms, multimedia classrooms, a concert hall, lecture halls, 82 laboratories, and fixed internship and training bases. Student dormitories are designed for 4 to 6 people per room, each equipped with air conditioning, water heaters, and private bathrooms. The dormitory buildings are also equipped with shared laundry rooms and drinking water facilities. The cafeteria has over 20 catering stalls and includes areas for ethnic meals and multifunctional leisure spaces. Additionally, there are medical rooms, logistics stations, campus supermarkets, and other service facilities.

The college always adheres to the socialist education direction, fully implements the fundamental task of establishing moral education, and focuses on cultivating application-oriented talents. It insists on standardized and distinctive development, continuously optimizes internal construction, and consistently improves talent cultivation quality, striving to make new and greater contributions to regional economic and social development.
