Tianjin Business University, formerly known as Tianjin Business School, was founded by the Ministry of Commerce and the Tianjin Municipal people's Government in 1980. In 1998, schools implemented a central and local management system based on local management. In 2007, the school was renamed Tianjin Commercial University.
