Tianjin Bohai Vocational and Technical College is a full-time public higher vocational college approved by Tianjin Municipal Government and filed by the Ministry of Education. The college covers an area of 671 mu, with a total building area of 310,000 square meters. Located in the beautiful Bohai Sea, Tianjin, the birthplace of China's modern chemical industry and the innovation and reform demonstration area of China's modern vocational education. The history of chemical engineering vocational education can be traced back to 1958, and a higher vocational college was established in 2001. Since its establishment more than 60 years ago, the vocational education of the college has been deeply influenced by the patriotic spirit of modern industrialists and scientists such as Fan Xudong, Hou Debang and Li Zhuchen. It inherits the genes of striving for self-improvement and the blood of enterprises, inherits the fine cultural tradition of chemical pioneers, and shoulders the heavy responsibility of training technical and technical personnel of modern chemical enterprises. In 2019, the college was established by the Ministry of Education as a high-level vocational school with Chinese characteristics and a professional construction plan. The college has a wide international influence. In 2016, the first "Luban Workshop" outside China was built, with a building area of 2,000 square meters, which trained more than 4,000 vocational skilled personnel and trained more than 500 teachers for Thailand and its neighboring countries, and many of them won prizes in their national skills competitions, thus building a bridge for dialogue and exchange between Tianjin vocational education and the world, and becoming a leader in exporting the soft power of China's vocational education. Up to now, the "Luban Workshop" of our college has enrolled 162 international students in academic education and 764 teachers and students studying abroad for short-term exchange and training.
