Shenzhen Polytechnic University

Shenzhen Polytechnic is a public vocational college at the undergraduate level. Its predecessor was Shenzhen Polytechnic, which was founded in 1993. In June 2023, the Ministry of Education approved the establishment of Shenzhen Polytechnic University by integrating resources based on Shenzhen Polytechnic. The university has become the first undergraduate-level vocational school established on the basis of a high-quality "Double High" school since the Ministry of Education issued and implemented the "Standards for the Establishment of Undergraduate-level Vocational Schools (Trial)". Since its establishment, the school has taken moral education and talent cultivation as its fundamental task, remained committed to the essence of vocational education, adhered to the characteristics of Shenzhen, closely aligned with the national direction and the needs of Shenzhen, and upheld the spirit of the school motto "Moral and Professional Progress, Self-improvement and Perseverance". It has continuously innovated its educational systems and mechanisms, educational and teaching concepts, and talent cultivation models, creating many firsts in China's higher vocational education. Its comprehensive strength has consistently ranked among the top of similar institutions nationwide. It is hailed as a banner of higher vocational education in China.
The school currently has three campuses, namely Xili Campus, Xiangmi Campus and Shenshan Campus, covering an area of over 4,000 mu. There are currently over 2,900 faculty and staff members and more than 30,000 full-time students. The university has the College of Undergraduate Education, the College of Integrated Circuits, the College of Future Technologies, the College of Electronic and Communication Engineering, the College of Artificial Intelligence, the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, the College of Economics, the College of Management, the College of Digital Media, the College of Innovation and Creative Design, the College of Business Foreign Languages, the College of Materials and Environmental Engineering, the College of Architectural Engineering, the College of Food and Drug, the College of Automotive and Transportation, and the College of Medical Technology and Nursing The School of Science, the School of Vocational and Technical Education, the School of Marxism and other teaching units have established 15 professional clusters in line with the key industrial layout of Shenzhen. In 2024, there will be 15 full-time undergraduate programs and 84 full-time junior college programs for enrollment.

Shenzhen Polytechnic University, located in Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province, is abbreviated as Shenzhen Polytechnic. It is a full-time regular institution of higher learning under the supervision of the People's Government of Guangdong Province and founded by the People's Government of Shenzhen City. It is A national demonstration higher vocational college, a member of the Ministry of Education's Program for the Construction of High-level Higher Vocational Schools and Specialties with Chinese Characteristics (Class A), a national high-quality junior college higher vocational college, a national demonstration university for deepening innovation and entrepreneurship education reform, a UNESCO Global Liaison Center for Vocational Education, and a construction unit of national first-class higher vocational colleges. The first batch of higher vocational colleges to obtain the qualification to recruit overseas students and the first higher vocational college to be approved for independent recruitment from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
