Shaanxi Business College is a public full-time ordinary higher vocational school sponsored by the provincial government, supervised by the provincial Department of Education and filed with the Ministry of Education. It is a construction unit of the Shaanxi Province's High-level Higher Vocational School and Professional Construction Plan (referred to as the "Double High Plan").

The main campus of the school is located in the University Town of Chang 'an District, Xi 'an City. It is adjacent to the National High-tech Industrial Development Zone to the west. The surrounding environment is elegant and the roads are well-connected. The campus is beautiful with shady green trees, creating a quiet and comfortable learning environment for the students. The school currently has six campuses including Guodu and Taibai, covering a total area of 407,800 square meters, with a total building area of over 289,000 square meters. The total value of fixed assets and intangible assets is over 1 billion yuan, among which the total value of teaching instruments and equipment is over 130 million yuan.

The college currently has 688 staff members, among whom 452 hold doctoral or master's degrees. There are 314 people with senior professional titles. At present, there is 1 third-level professor, 1 national outstanding teacher, 4 provincial teaching masters, 2 model teachers of professional ethics, 2 advanced individuals of professional ethics, 1 outstanding teacher, 1 recipient of the Special Government Allowance of The State Council, 1 member of the "Young Outstanding Talent Support Program" of Shaanxi Higher Education Institutions, and 1 candidate for the training of vocational education masters of the Ministry of Education.

The college has 10 secondary colleges, namely the School of Accounting and Finance, the School of Management, the School of Tourism and Hotel Management, the School of Architecture and Civil Engineering, the School of Information and Future Technology, the School of Intelligent Manufacturing, the School of Art and Design · Public Art Center, the School of Preschool Education, the School of Nursing and Health, and the School of Marxism, as well as the Department of Basic Teaching and the Department of Physical Education Teaching. A total of 43 higher vocational programs will be offered, and a new pattern of "334" professional clusters will be established, with 3 national key programs as the leaders, 3 provincial high-level professional clusters as the backbone, and 4 school-level professional clusters as the foundation. Two key construction specialties supported by the central government's finance, three provincial-level comprehensive reform pilot specialties, and two provincial-level first-class specialties have been established. There are 2 national-level training bases, 1 key training base supported by the central government's finance, and 3 provincial-level exemplary training bases.

The college adheres to the educational orientation of "high starting point, high standards and high level", with the aim of serving the development of modern service industry in Shaanxi Province. It upholds the educational philosophy of "taking profession as the foundation, quality for survival, characteristics for brand building, and innovation for development", and vigorously promotes an open educational model. By adopting a "three-in-one" teaching approach that combines classroom teaching with workplace training, vocational skills training with vocational qualification assessment, and academic performance evaluation with job assessment, and integrating classroom learning, workplace practice, and competition on the field, we aim to cultivate professionals with good professional ethics, solid vocational skills, university cultural literacy, and innovative spirit, who are needed for the development of modern service industries.

In recent years, the college has taken improving the quality of talent cultivation as its core, actively explored and improved the "dual-subject" training model for vocational talents with both the school and enterprises as the main body. Through the implementation of a series of effective reform measures, all undertakings have achieved leapfrog development, and the school has made remarkable achievements in running the school. The school won 4 special prizes, 28 first prizes, 62 second prizes and 97 third prizes in the national skills competition for higher vocational colleges. We participated in the Higher Vocational Skills Competition of Shaanxi Province and won 90 first prizes, 194 second prizes and 224 third prizes.

The college is based in Shaanxi Province and recruits students from all over the country. Currently, there are over 10,000 students enrolled in secondary and higher vocational education. Sixty percent of the vocational college students and eighty percent of the secondary vocational school students in the whole school have respectively received national scholarships and grants, school scholarships, enterprise scholarships and tuition-free assistance.

The college adheres to taking teaching as the center and promoting teaching through research, with the intensity of teaching and research innovation constantly increasing. It has established the Shaanxi (University) Key Research Base for Philosophy and Social Sciences - Shaanxi Distance Education Research Center, built 9 scientific research and innovation teams, undertaken 215 vertical projects including the provincial social science fund, and strived for 24 horizontal projects. It has won six awards, including the Outstanding Achievement Award of Philosophy and Social Sciences Research in Shaanxi Province, the Outstanding Achievement Award of Educational Science Research in Shaanxi Province, and the Outstanding Achievement Award of Humanities and Social Sciences Research in Shaanxi (Higher Education Institutions).

The college actively carries out creation activities such as "Hygienic Campus", "Energy-saving Campus", "Green School", "Civilized Campus", "Safe Campus", and "Healthy Campus", and has been awarded titles such as "Civilized Campus of Shaanxi Province", "Safe Unit of Xi 'an City", "Outstanding Unit of Sunshine Sports in Shaanxi Higher Education Institutions", and "Demonstration School of Smart Campus".

The college actively promotes cooperation between the school and enterprises as well as international exchanges. We have carried out school-enterprise cooperation with many well-known enterprises and established off-campus internship and training bases. We adhere to the "dual-subject" school-enterprise operation model, conduct in-depth cooperation projects on school-enterprise co-construction of majors, and form multiple named classes and order classes. We have established cooperative education programs with over 100 well-known enterprises, including Huawei Technologies Co., LTD., China State Construction Engineering Corporation Limited, Suning.com Sales Co., LTD., and intercontinental Xi 'an Economic Development Zone Hotel. We have successively received educational institutions and universities from all over the world, including Germany, Switzerland, Japan, and the United Arab Emirates, for exchange visits. We have actively promoted cross-border cooperation projects and sent outstanding teachers in groups to study and train abroad. We have established cooperation with many well-known enterprises, set up student on-the-job internship bases, and sent over 1,000 trainees to study and work in five-star hotels and duty-free shops in Tokyo, Japan, Dubai, ABU Dhabi and other places in the United Arab Emirates. Actively explore cross-border cooperation projects, relying on the "Sino-German Advanced Vocational Education Cooperation Project (SGAVE)" of the Ministry of Education, and strive to build a demonstration "Sino-German Vocational Skills Education and Training Base". In collaboration with universities in the Kyrgyz Republic and Russia, the "Qinling Workshop" project for cooking Shaanxi cuisine has been launched.

Guided by the goal of promoting employment, we will closely focus on the adjustment and upgrading of the industrial structure in our province, continuously optimize the talent cultivation model, deepen the reform of education and teaching, highlight high-quality development, accelerate the process of building "Double High" institutions, and strive to write a new chapter of catching up and surpassing in the school cause in the new era.
