

Sanya City College is a full-time private higher vocational college registered with the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. It is one of the first pilot units for the modern apprenticeship system under the Ministry of Education, a pilot university for the 1+X certificate system, and a training base for the employment and entrepreneurship of retired military personnel in Hainan Province.
In 2001, Sanya Zhuoda Tourism Vocational College was established; in May 2007, it was renamed Sanya City College; in August 2015, it was selected as one of the first pilot units for the modern apprenticeship system by the Ministry of Education.
As of January 2024, the college covers an area of 199,895 square meters, with a building area of 90,762 square meters. It has 7 academic departments, offering 25 higher vocational programs (specializations). The college employs 309 staff members, including 208 full-time teachers, and has 3,874 full-time students. The library holds 432,700 volumes of books, including 316,100 printed books and 166,700 electronic books.
