Nankai University Binhai College is a full-time institution of higher learning for undergraduates, which was jointly founded by Nankai University and Tianjin Binhai New Area , with the approval of the Ministry of Education in 2004. It is located in Dagang Ecological Park of Higher Education in Tianjin Binhai New Area.

Nankai University Binhai College has its own campus and teaching facilities, and enjoys the status of a legal entity. It organizes and manages its teaching independently in the president’s charge under the leadership of the board of trustees.

The college occupies an area of 67 hectares with a floor space of over 220,000 square meters. Up to the end of 2013, it had comprised nine departments and 31 specialties, with a total number of 10010 students from all over the country. The college is qualified to issue diplomas and confer Bachelor degrees on its graduates. Thanks to the care of leaders at all levels and the support from various circles, the college has made a marked advance in school-running and has won wide acclaim.

Binhai College has provided the society with 12995 graduates in the last 9 years since its foundation. Some of its graduates are admitted as postgraduates to such key universities of985 Projectand211 Project as Peking University, Nankai University and Tianjin University, etc. And some of them undertake postgraduate studies in America, Japan and UK.

Nankai University, founded in 1919, is a key multidisciplinary university directly under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education, and is also the alma mater of our beloved late Premier Zhou Enlai. It is one of the211 Projectand985 Projectuniversities in China. Tianjing Binhai New Area was established in November 2009 with the approval of the State Council. As an important development strategy of the country, its development and opening-up offers the students of Binhai College good prospects for fieldwork and employment.

The college is an independent college organized in accordance with the Education Law of the People's Republic of China and the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Promotion of Private Education. It has the qualification of an independent legal person and implements the responsibility system of the president under the leadership of the board of directors. The college has a campus of nearly 1,000 mu and a scale of 10,000 people, with a total construction area of more than 230,000 square meters, which is open to the whole country. After graduation, students will be awarded the graduation certificate of Binhai College of Nankai University uniformly printed by the state, and the bachelor's degree certificate of Binhai College of Nankai University will be awarded if it meets the requirements for degree granting.

The College has a first-class teaching building and a library with a collection of over one million books. According to the characteristics of various disciplines and specialties, it has 96 professional laboratories, 6 public teaching computer laboratories, 10 phonetic laboratories, 1 foreign language autonomous learning laboratory, 1 electronic reading room, nearly 100 multimedia classrooms and 2 academic lecture halls, equipped with advanced teaching instruments and facilities. At the same time, it has built teaching and living facilities such as indoor and outdoor stadiums, public quality education centers and student apartments, as well as advanced campuses.
