Nanjing Vocational College of Information Technology
Founded in November 2018, the School of International Education of Nanjing Vocational College of Information Technology (NJCIT for short) is mainly responsible for the teaching organization, management and implementation of foreign-related programs of NJCIT, the planning, organization and implementation of students' overseas study programs, and the centralized management of foreign students' affairs.
Committed to promoting international educational exchanges and cooperation, NJCIT has established friendly cooperation and exchange relations with colleges and universities and educational institutions in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, South Korea, Singapore, Germany, New Zealand, South Africa, Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, Malaysia, Indonesia and other countries and regions, introduced advanced educational resources from foreign universities, and carried out foreign-related programs in various forms.
NJCIT provides students with a variety of opportunities to participate in international exchange programs, including inter-school exchange program with mutual recognition of credits, language training program, summer camp / winter camp program, etc. While providing students with overseas learning and exchange opportunities under the multicultural background, NJCIT expands students' international vision and improves students' innovation awareness, practical ability and international competitiveness.
In the past two years, NJCIT has also added joint training academic degree programs by NJCIT and foreign universities, mainly including the British colleges and universities “3 + 1” undergraduate course, the “3 + 1” graduate course (master degree), and the “2 + 1 + 1” joint training graduate course (master degree), which has built a new model for students to improve their overseas academic qualifications.
Nanjing College of Information Technology, a state-owned public school, also known as “NJCIT”is located in the Xianlin University Town. Upgraded from its former school, known as, Nanjing Radio Industry School. Since it was founded, NJCIT has trained over 50,000 skilled personnel for the job market over the past 60 years.
NJCIT occupies an area of 928 mu (a unit of area, =0.0667 hectares). Student enrollment has reached 12,000. The total value of its fixed assets has reached 884 million Yuan RMB. The total value of instruments, equipment for teaching and researching, equals 134 million Yuan RMB. The instrument and equipment of quasi donation, from enterprises, equals more than 100 million.
NJCIT currently owns 45 specialties, classified into 8 groups, i.e. Electronic Complete Machine, Advanced Manufacturing Equipment and Technology, Electronic Components, Software, Digital Arts, Communication Engineering, Information Service and New Energy Technology.
NJCIT employs full-time professors, associate professors, and senior engineers, equating to 186 members in total. It also employs a faculty staff of 363 members with Master’s degree or PhD degree. NJCIT has engaged more than 400 experts in the fields of technology and management, all sharing their experience and knowledge as visiting teachers.
NJCIT has established NC School of ZTE Communications and NJCIT, Siemens Class and more. NJCIT is a training base for the Chinese People’s Liberation Army University of Science and Technology, an authorized training center for ZTE Communications Corporation, the National Training Base of Talents in Short Supply in the Industry of Computer Application And Software, Occupation Skill Appraisal Base for Jiangsu Communications Industry.
NJCIT has developed cooperative programs with BCIT and others. NJCIT has developed strong partnerships with famous enterprises like IBM, Oracle, Siemens, Microsoft, Sharp, A.O. Smith and others.
