Nanchang Institute of Science and Technology

Nanchang Institute of Science and Technology is located in Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province, the jurisdiction of Nanchang Institute of Technology is the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Education, is a full-time application-oriented undergraduate college with industry-oriented, multidisciplinary coordinated development, and outstanding characteristics of national education, and is the first batch of pilot colleges of the Ministry of Education's 1X certificate system, the first batch of pilot institutions of the Jiangxi Provincial People's Government to transform and develop into application-oriented universities, and the 5A-level institutions of China's social organization evaluation.
The predecessor of the school was the private Ganjiang University, which was founded in 1988. In 1998, the school was renamed Ganjiang College of Specialized Studies. In 2003, the school was renamed Jiangxi Ganjiang Vocational and Technical College. In April 2011, with the approval of the Ministry of Education and the Jiangxi Provincial People's Government, Nanchang Institute of Technology was established on the basis of Jiangxi Ganjiang Vocational and Technical College. In 2003, the college was selected as the "National National Preparatory Education Base for Colleges and Universities" by the Ministry of Education, in 2009, the school won the honorary title of "National Model Collective of National Unity and Progress", and in 2012, the school won the honorary title of "National Demonstration School for the Creation of National Unity and Progress". 
As of April 2025, the school covers an area of 2,035,200 square meters, with a total building area of 1,153,000 square meters, a total value of teaching and scientific research equipment of 234 million yuan, a collection of 2,546,400 paper books, and 13.04 million digital resources, 10 secondary colleges, 63 undergraduate majors and 37 junior colleges, and more than 31,700 students and more than 2,100 faculty members.
