NanJing XiaoZhuang University is a full-time public undergraduate college established by Jiangsu Province and Nanjing City. The predecessor of the school was the "Xiaozhuang Experimental Rural Teachers" founded by the great people's educator Mr. Tao Xingzhi in 1927. It is the birthplace of rural teacher education in our country. In 2000, Nanjing Teachers College, Nanjing Institute of Education and Nanjing Xiaozhuang Normal School merged to establish Nanjing Xiaozhuang College. In 2014, Nanjing Preschool Higher Normal School was merged into.

The school has three campuses, Fangshan,Mochou,Xiaozhuang and the provincial cultural preservation unit "Xingzhi Garden" (including the Teacher's Ethics Education Hall), with a campus area of nearly 1,500 mu. The school has 15 professional colleges, 47 undergraduate admissions majors, and more than 18,400 full-time undergraduate students. The school has a total of 1,400 faculty members, including 533 teachers with senior professional titles, 393 teachers with doctoral degrees, 2 recipients of special allowances from the State Council, and 2 members of the Teaching Steering Committee of Higher Schools of the Ministry of Education. The school adheres to the fundamental task of cultivating morality and cultivating people. The school gives full play to the leading role of subject scientific research, and has established a three-disciplinary system with new teachers as the main body and new liberal arts and new engineering as its wings.
