NANNING VOCATIONAL AND TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY
NANNING VOCATIONAL AND TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY is a full-time comprehensive undergraduate-level vocational college organized by the Nanning Municipal People's Government, which is a national demonstration higher vocational college, a national high-quality junior college higher vocational college, and a pilot institution for the joint training and reform of high-end application-oriented undergraduate talents in Guangxi. It is an innovative talent training base in China's high-tech zone and a public training base for vocational skills in Guangxi.
The school was formerly known as Nanning Vocational University founded in 1984, and the school first began in 1952 at Nanning Institute of Education. In July 1999, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, Nanning Vocational University, Nanning College of Education and Guangxi Radio and Television University Nanning part of the educational resources were merged to form Nanning Vocational and Technical College. In June 2000, Nanning Construction Technical School was merged. In June 2006, Nanning Normal School was merged. In May 2024, the Ministry of Education approved the establishment of Nanning Vocational and Technical University based on Nanning Vocational and Technical College to integrate resources.
As of October 2024, the school covers an area of 1,725 acres and a construction area of 570,000 square meters; There are 13 secondary colleges and 54 enrollment majors, of which 5 are undergraduate majors; There are more than 1,100 faculty members, including 970 full-time teachers; There are about 18,000 full-time higher vocational students and nearly 2,000 adult continuing education students.
