Lijiang Culture and Tourism College (formerly Yunnan University College of Tourism and Culture) is located in Lijiang City, Yunnan Province, which enjoys three crowns of World Cultural Heritage, World Natural Heritage, and World Memory Heritage.

Founded in 2001, the school is one of the first batch of independent colleges with distinctive school-running characteristics confirmed by the Ministry of Education in 2004. After 20 years of construction and development, the school was successfully converted from an independent college to an independent undergraduate level private general higher education school approved by the Ministry of Education in February 2021. It is one of the first two universities in Yunnan Province to be successfully transferred with strength. .
