Liaoning Institute of Science and Engineering

Liaoning University of Technology is located in Jinzhou City, a historic and cultural city in the western corridor of Liaoning on the coast of Bohai Bay, known as the "Hero City." The university is a regular undergraduate institution approved by the Ministry of Education. Established in 1999, it successfully passed the undergraduate teaching work qualification assessment by the Ministry of Education in 2023 and was approved in 2024 as a construction unit authorized to grant master's degrees.  

The university currently has two campuses, Songshan and Binhai, covering an area of approximately 593.4 acres with a total building area of 255,700 square meters. It comprises nine secondary colleges, including the School of Automotive and Mechanical Engineering, the School of Electrical and Intelligent Control, and the School of Information Engineering, along with one public teaching unit and one affiliated unit. The faculty consists of 479 full-time teachers, and there are 8,487 students enrolled. The university has developed into a multidisciplinary, applied science and engineering university with engineering as its main focus, promoting coordinated development in engineering, science, and management. It is dedicated to cultivating applied talents serving the new energy vehicle manufacturing industry, positioning itself as a cradle of engineers in the field of new energy intelligent vehicles. Since its founding, the university has produced over 30,000 outstanding talents for society, including representatives such as Liu Yan, a recipient of the National May 1st Labor Medal.  

The university offers 33 undergraduate majors and 6 specialist programs, encompassing four new engineering professional clusters in new energy intelligent vehicles, intelligent manufacturing, intelligent and software engineering, and electrical and robotics, alongside one management professional cluster. It currently hosts two provincial pilot programs for innovation and entrepreneurship education reform and has established two first-class undergraduate programs at the provincial level in Computer Science and Technology and Logistics Engineering. The university also maintains seven provincial off-campus education practice bases for students. Additionally, it has been approved for 38 provincial first-class undergraduate courses, 12 provincial inter-college cooperation projects, and 42 provincial teaching reform projects. The university has won six provincial teaching achievement awards, including third prize in the national teaching innovation competition for teachers, one first prize at the provincial level, two second prizes, and four third prizes, as well as 27 teaching competition awards at the provincial and municipal levels or higher.
