Liaoning Financial Vocational College is a provincial higher vocational college, founded in 1954, then known as Liaoning Banking School and Liaoning Financial Staff University. In 2002, Liaoning Banking School and Liaoning Financial Staff University merged to form Liaoning Financial Vocational College. In 2021, it was identified by the Provincial Department of Education as the provincial "Xingliao Excellence" higher vocational college and the provincial "Xingliao Excellence" higher vocational professional group construction unit. In 2023, it was selected as a "Vocational School with a High International Level in Liaoning Province". In 2024, it will be selected as the second batch of study abroad training bases of the "China-Tajikistan Technical Skills Improvement Program". In 2025, it will be selected as a leading vocational school of the provincial financial industry industry-education integration community.
The school is located in Shenbei New District, Shenyang City, covering an area of more than 150 acres and a construction area of nearly 80,000 square meters. There are 8 secondary colleges and 2 teaching departments, with more than 7,900 students.
The school offers 21 majors, among which big data and accounting are national modern apprenticeship pilot majors, financial services and management and insurance practice are provincial modern apprenticeship pilot majors, and financial services and management professional groups are provincial high-level characteristic professional groups. There are also 4 provincial-level "Xingliao Excellence" professional groups, 2 demonstration majors for talent training model reform, 2 demonstration majors for professional digital upgrading and transformation, 2 professional ability map pilot construction majors, and 6 four-star majors. In the past five years, it has won 9 provincial teaching achievement awards and opened 26 provincial high-quality online open courses; A total of nearly 1,200 students were organized to participate in various skills competitions at all levels, and won 4 national awards and 222 provincial awards; The employment rate of graduates is 95.79%, 89.96% are employed and started in Liaoning, and the average satisfaction rate of employers is 96.60%; The average satisfaction rate of parents in the past three years is 97%.
