Jining Medical University, founded in 1952, is an ordinary undergraduate medical college in Shandong Province. Jining University now has taibaihu Campus, Rencheng Campus and Rizhao Campus, covering a total area of 1.15 million square meters, with a building area of 670,000 square meters, and jining National High-tech Zone to jointly build the teaching science and technology park. The total value of the fixed assets of the university is 1.73 billion yuan, including 250 million yuan of teaching and research equipment, and the total collection of books is 3.6 million.

The university has 2 directly affiliated hospitals, 16 non-affiliated hospitals and more than 170 practical teaching bases. The Affiliated Hospital of Jining Medical College is a regional medical center of Shandong Province with fixed assets of 2 billion yuan and 3100 beds. It has passed HIMSS level 6 certification. Shandong Provincial Mental Health Center is the only provincial class A mental health hospital with 750 beds. The university has established the only judicial authentication center for medical colleges in Shandong Province, which has passed the national experimental certification and qualification accreditation.

The school has a staff of 6165. Chinese Journal of Behavioral Medicine and Brain Science is an authoritative academic journal in China, ranking first in basic medical journals, and selected into the "High-quality Sci-tech Journals Project of China Association for Science and Technology".
