Jiaozuo University
Jiaozuo University was founded in 1981. It is a comprehensive ordinary higher vocational college approved by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, under the supervision of the Education Department of Henan Province and sponsored by the Jiaozuo Municipal Government, aiming to cultivate technical and skilled talents.
The school is located in Jiaozuo City, Henan Province, an emerging outstanding mountain and water tourist city in China. It has two campuses, the south and the north, with a total campus area of 1.139 million square meters and a building area of 530,900 square meters. There are currently over 26,000 students of all levels and types, among whom there are more than 14,000 full-time junior college students. There are 933 faculty and staff members, among whom 210 hold senior professional and technical positions and 460 have doctoral or master's degrees. The university has 14 colleges including the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, the School of Economics and Management, and the School of Artificial Intelligence, offering 55 majors such as Mechatronic Technology, Marketing, and Big Data Technology. The total value of teaching instruments and equipment is 142 million yuan, and the library has a collection of over 1.4 million volumes.
The school fully implements the Party's educational policy, fulfills the fundamental task of fostering virtue and nurturing talent, and consistently adheres to the development orientation of "following the path of modern vocational education and building a distinctive applied university". It upholds the school motto of "Valuing learning and Acting with Diligence, being dedicated and sociable" and the school spirit of "Diligence, rigor, Pragmatism and Innovation", and promotes the spirit of "self-improvement and striving for excellence". We will fully carry out the "Five Modernizations" construction (specialization in professional development, informatization in teaching activities, standardization in management behavior, ecologicalization in environmental construction, and normalization in strengthening Party building), solidly implement the "Five School Joint Construction" (civilized campus, safe campus, hygienic campus, digital campus, and "Double High" school), and further advance the reform of educational methods, school-running models, management systems, and guarantee mechanisms. Develop modern vocational education. There are currently 24 teaching projects at or above the provincial and ministerial level, including characteristic specialties, excellent courses, outstanding teaching teams, and teaching masters. Actively explore the training model of "major + information technology + Tai Chi"; Twenty-one scientific research platforms serving the local economic and social development have been established. We have successively carried out in-depth school-enterprise cooperation with over 100 enterprises. The school has made outstanding contributions to the economic and social development of Henan Province, especially the northwest region of Henan. Its overall development shows a trend of moving forward, upward and positive.
