JiaoZuo College Of Industry And Trade is a full-time regular junior college approved by the People's Government of Henan Province and filed with the Ministry of Education. The college has been honored with the titles of "Demonstration Higher Vocational College of Chinese Craftsmanship Spirit", "Characteristic Vocational Education College of Henan Province", "Brand of Innovative Development of Private Education in Central Plains", "Brand Base for Skills Training of Urban and Rural Workers", "Demonstration Base for Teacher Training and Education in Higher Vocational Colleges", "Garden Unit of Henan Province", "Civilized Unit of Jiaozuo City", and "Training Base for Scientific and Technological Innovation and R&D Talents of Qinyang City". It has the qualification for "National Vocational Skills Appraisal".

The college was jointly established by Guangzhou Motis Information Technology Development Co., Ltd. and the People's Government of Qinyang City. It has two campuses in Jiaozuo City, namely Shanyang and Qinyang, covering an area of over 2,000 mu, with a planned construction area of more than 1 million square meters, of which 515,000 square meters have been completed. The college currently has 1,171 full-time and part-time teachers, among whom 334 hold senior professional titles and 616 have master's degrees or above. The college enrolls three-year, five-year and vocational high school graduates respectively from high school, junior high school and secondary vocational school. Currently, there are over 20,000 students on campus.

The college currently has 15 secondary colleges and departments, including the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, the School of Automotive Engineering, the International Business School, the School of Art and Media, the School of Intelligent Engineering, and the Public Teaching Department. A total of 62 majors are offered, including automotive Manufacturing and testing Technology, mechatronics, mechanical manufacturing and automation, Digital media art Design, tourism Management, Air Cabin crew, E-commerce, big data and Accounting, financial Management, and architectural decoration engineering Technology. Focus on building professional clusters for new energy vehicles, industrial robot technology, and digital media art design. The college has established a provincial-level master workshop for Chai Zhanzhu ceramic firing, a provincial-level master workshop for Ma Yanping tea art, a 4S store for auto inspection and maintenance, an auto driving training base, an electromechanical training base, a preschool education internship base, a 3D simulation tour guide room, an aviation training simulation cabin and other internship and training rooms. The total value of experimental instruments and equipment amounts to over 100 million yuan, and the library houses 1.26 million volumes.

The college adheres to the "integration of theory and practice" teaching reform, implements the "four simulations" and "two connections", and promotes the modular teaching method, project-based teaching method, case teaching method and role-playing method, achieving remarkable results. In recent years, students have won the first prize in the National College Students' Comprehensive Entrepreneurship Simulation Competition and over 300 awards in national and provincial higher vocational skills competitions.

The college highlights the characteristics of vocational education, adheres to the orientation towards industries, employment and students' career development, fully implements the Ministry of Education's "Quality Improvement and Excellence Promotion Action Plan", actively conducts vocational skills training and assessment, and the pass rate of national vocational qualification examinations for students on campus has reached over 90%. The college has established a 2,000-square-meter entrepreneurship center and has hired entrepreneurship mentors from the government, enterprises and universities to guide students in carrying out innovation and entrepreneurship activities.

The college attaches great importance to the integration of industry and education, strengthens the cultivation of students' skills, and actively fosters the spirit of model workers and craftsmanship. It has successively established long-term cooperative relationships with over 210 well-known enterprises such as Huawei, Lenovo Group, Sinopec, iFLYTEK, Chery Automobile, Haier Group, Midea Group, Ecovacs Robotics, SVOLT Energy Technology, Renben Group, and Yuanzhou Group. Set up internship and training bases outside the campus and sign employment guarantee agreements with students. Over the years, the rate of graduates finding employment has consistently exceeded 97%, and the pass rate of the junior college to undergraduate entrance examination ranks among the top in vocational colleges across the province.
