Jiangxi University of Software Professional Technology

Jiangxi University of Software Professional Technology is located in Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province. It is a private full-time vocational undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, a pilot school for undergraduate-level vocational education, a national demonstration software college, a pilot unit for modern apprenticeship system in Jiangxi Province, a national international training base for software talents (Nanchang), a demonstration base for high-skilled talent cultivation in Jiangxi Province, a demonstration base for e-commerce in Jiangxi Province, and a demonstration base for copyright in Jiangxi Province. 
Jiangxi Software Vocational and Technical University was formerly known as Jiangxi Xianfeng Software Vocational and Technical College, which was founded in 2003. In December 2018, it was upgraded to a bachelor's degree-granting institution and was tentatively named Jiangxi Software Vocational College (Undergraduate). In May 2019, it was renamed Jiangxi Software Vocational and Technical University and became a pilot school for undergraduate-level vocational education. 
According to the data on the school's official website in July 2024, the Nanchang Campus and Jinggangshan Campus of the school cover a total area of 1,932 mu, with a building area of 650,000 square meters. It has 12 secondary colleges and offers 21 vocational undergraduate programs and 22 higher vocational junior college programs. There are 19,885 full-time students and 1,189 full-time teachers on campus.

Jiangxi Software Vocational and Technical University is the first software vocational and technical university in China. It was founded in 2003 by Pioneer Software Co., LTD., one of the top 100 software enterprises in China. At the very beginning of its establishment, it was successfully selected as one of the 35 national model software vocational and technical colleges. In 2018, it was upgraded to a vocational undergraduate school and became one of the first 15 vocational education institutions at the undergraduate level in the country. In May 2019, the Ministry of Education approved the name change to Jiangxi Software Vocational and Technical University. In June 2022, the school was approved as a bachelor's degree awarding institution for vocational undergraduate education. In July 2024, the Ministry of Education officially approved the addition of a new campus for Jiangxi Software Vocational and Technical University, establishing the Jinggangshan Campus.

Since being upgraded to a bachelor's degree-granting institution in 2018, The school has successively won honors such as the Advanced Unit in Jiangxi Province's Safe Construction Work, the Provincial "Dual-Qualified" Teacher Training Base, the Leading School of Jiangxi Province's 1+X Certificate Alliance, the Practical Teaching Base of "Big Ideological and Political Courses" at the Doorstep of the Whole Province, the Advanced Unit in Student Apartment Management of Jiangxi Province's Colleges and Universities, the Excellent Grade in Employment Work of Jiangxi Province's Colleges and Universities, and the List of Jiangxi Province's Labor Education Experimental Schools (Colleges and Universities) . At present, there are 2 national model branches for Party building work, 1 provincial benchmark department and 1 provincial model branch for Party building work, 1 provincial high-level professional group, 2 provincial vocational education industry-education integration demonstration professional groups, 5 provincial vocational college teacher teaching innovation teams, 3 provincial master teacher studios, 2 provincial teaching achievement awards, and 1 provincial excellent online open course. It has one provincial first-class core course in vocational education and is the leading initiating unit of the "National Network Software Industry Industry-Education Integration Community". The school ranked 13th on the list of national college students' competitions for private higher vocational colleges and 14th on the list of college students' competitions for vocational undergraduate colleges from 2019 to 2023. In 2023, students of the entire school won a total of 761 awards in various competitions including vocational skills, among which 107 were at the national level, 331 were in the national industry category, and 323 were at the provincial level. It achieved a three-time consecutive championship in the World University Esports League (WUCG) from 2019 to 2021. In 2024, students of the entire school won a total of 1,180 awards in various competitions including vocational skills, among which 501 awards were included in the "Analysis Report on National College Students' Competitions" of 84 events.

The school focuses on and centers on the development of the digital economy, implements the "1269" action plan for the modernization of key industrial chains in Jiangxi Province's manufacturing industry, has formed a discipline and professional cluster mainly based on software technology and information technology, established the world's first blockchain college, and recruited the world's first batch of undergraduate students majoring in blockchain technology. Over the past two decades, it has cultivated more than 100,000 high-quality software technology and skilled talents for society.
