Jiangxi New Energy Technology Institute

Jiangxi New Energy Science and Technology Vocational College was founded in 1995, is approved by the people's government of Jiangxi Province, the Ministry of Education record of the full-time ordinary institutions of higher learning. The campus covers an area of more than 800 mu, with a building area of 341,700 square meters, and a collection of 943,300 books and 500,000 electronic books. There are more than 13,000 students in the school. In the past 29 years, the school has cultivated nearly 100,000 outstanding graduates, and the employment rate of graduates in the past five years ranks among the forefront of vocational colleges in the province.

The school has 10 secondary teaching schools (departments), including the School of New Energy Engineering, the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, the School of Electronic Information Engineering, the School of Economics and Management, the School of Architectural Design, the School of Humanities Education, the School of Health Nursing, the Department of Public Education, the Department of Ideological and Political Education, and the Department of practical training.

The school adheres to the school motto of "scientific, pragmatic, virtuous and innovative", adheres to the school philosophy of "moral cultivation, integration of knowledge and practice, integration of production and education, and characteristic development", and takes improving the quality of skilled personnel training as the lifeline. It has built seven professional groups, including new energy vehicle technology, photovoltaic engineering technology, electronic information engineering technology, big data and economic management, architectural design, preschool education and health care, and has formed the characteristic advantages of various specialties in the new energy automobile industry and photovoltaic industry. A new pattern of personnel training with big data and accounting, e-commerce, electronic information technology, computer application technology, architectural interior design, energy storage material technology, nursing, preschool education and a series of professional development. The major of "photovoltaic Engineering Technology" and "New energy vehicle technology" has been assessed as the provincial backbone major by the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Education. Two professional groups of photovoltaic engineering technology and new energy vehicle technology were selected as high-level construction professional groups in Jiangxi Province.

The school adheres to the humanistic concept of "student-oriented and teacher-oriented", implements the strategy of expert research and talents strengthening the school, and cultivates and introduces teachers with high academic qualifications and professional titles. The university has 902 staff members, including 689 full-time teachers, 5 professors, 112 associate professors, 21 doctors, 174 masters. The school's "double-qualified" teachers account for 65%, and there are two provincial famous teachers and three provincial excellent teaching teams. In the past three years, the university has presided over 21 national projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation, 49 provincial and ministerial projects, published 636 papers, of which 62 have been included in SCI, 30 invention patents, and published 95 textbooks. The school pays attention to cooperative research with enterprises, and has completed 53 horizontal projects, won 5 Science and Technology Progress Awards of Jiangxi Province, 3 Social Science Awards of Jiangxi Province, and 1 first prize and 1 second prize of Jiangxi Provincial Teaching Achievement Awards. The biodiesel project hosted by the school has been jointly developed with Hebei Huayang Energy Co., LTD., with an annual output of 50,000 tons. The project case has been included in the "200 examples of cooperation between universities and enterprises".

The school has a vocational skills training center, the national Vocational skills appraisal Institute, the establishment of solar photovoltaic materials, new energy wind and solar complementary, photovoltaic engineering technology, new energy vehicles, electronics and information technology, architecture and industrial design, 3D printing technology, intelligent manufacturing and industrial machinery. There are 13 experimental and practical training teaching bases such as human, computer-aided design, nursing training room, preschool education training center, flight attendant simulation cabin, and economic management comprehensive training, and five experimental (practical training) teaching demonstration centers with characteristics of colleges and universities in Jiangxi Province have been built. Built photovoltaic power generation system, photovoltaic power station system, wind-solar complementary power generation system, electrical and electronic technology, air conditioning and refrigeration technology, PLC programmable technology, numerical control maintenance technology, photovoltaic material experiment, metal material experiment, wind power rectifier and inverter experiment 8 simulation training rooms, 45 experiments, training rooms, 105 off-campus practice training bases. There are 6 workshops including metalworking training, numerical control training, electric welding training, automobile and engine maintenance training, solar photovoltaic module production training and lithium battery production training.

In the past 30 years, students have participated in various national and provincial skills competitions with fruitful results, and only in 2023, students have won 330 awards in various vocational skills competitions at all levels. Among them, there are 7 first prizes, 14 second prizes and 20 third prizes in national groups. There are 9 national individual first prizes, 13 second prizes and 19 third prizes. There were 7 provincial group grand prizes, 17 first prizes, 44 second prizes and 50 third prizes. There are 32 provincial individual first prizes, 31 second prizes and 41 third prizes.

According to the "2023 National College Student Competition Analysis Report" released by the Chinese Association of Higher Education, the university ranks 54th in the 2019-2023 National College Student Competition list. Ranked 22nd in the 2023 National College Students Competition list. Ranked 13th on the list of National General Higher Vocational College Students Competition 2019-2023. Ranked 20th in the competition of Higher vocational colleges in Central China from 2019 to 2023. Ranked 4th on the list of National Private Higher Vocational College Students Competition 2019-2023. China Education Television came to our school to record the program "Young Craftsmen", which showed the exquisite technical skills of the outstanding students who won the skills competition of our school, and promoted the experience and results obtained by our school's innovative high-skill talent training model.
