Heilongjiang University Of Technology is a provincial comprehensive undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education. Its predecessor was Jixi University, which was founded in 1984. In 1988, Jixi Municipal Economic and Trade Commission Staff University and Jixi Radio and Television University were merged; In 1999, Jixi Normal School was incorporated. In 2013, approved by the Ministry of Education, it was upgraded to an ordinary undergraduate school and renamed as Heilongjiang Institute of Technology.
