Founded in March 2007, SGlobal Institute of Software Technology is a full-time college of higher learning approved by the People's Government of Jiangsu Province and registered by the Ministry of Education. There are two major international cooperation programs currently in operation, one is the sino-foreign cooperation program with STAFFORDSHIRE UNIVERSITY and the other is the international student program with the UNIVERSITY of the West Indies (UWI).

In 2009, approved by the Education Department of Jiangsu Province, our school cooperated with Staffordshire University in The UK in running schools, and successively opened two majors of software engineering and business Management. We actively introduced foreign high-quality education resources, and jointly opened advanced courses mainly taught in English, integrating with foreign education and combining theories and the latest scientific and technological development. With the strong support of the provincial Department of Education, the two cooperative programs developed rapidly during the 12th Five-Year Plan period, and the number of students increased year by year. In May 2015, the British Council of Education came to our school for on-site assessment, believing that our cooperative projects met the British Quality of Education (QAA) standards, and awarded our school the plaque of "Best Partner". In 2016, as the only private college in jiangsu province, our college was selected as the first group of "Target Schools for Overseas Study in Jiangsu". The success of sino-foreign cooperative education programs has also attracted a large number of foreign students. Our college has been approved by the Jiangsu Provincial government as a pilot educational reform program of "Expanding the scale of Foreign students in China". Our institute has successfully established the China Institute of Information Engineering in The University of the West Indies (UWI), adopting the "2+2" cooperative training mechanism, that is, the first two years in UWI to learn basic courses, the second two years in our institute to learn professional courses and practical activities, the current enrollment major is software engineering. The program began to recruit students in 2016, and the first batch of international students came to our school for a two-year study in September 2018. Through this cooperative program, we will welcome students from home and abroad to study in our school, and continue to expand the scale of young students from Latin America and the Caribbean to study in China.
