

Dalian Vocational Technical College, located in Dalian, Liaoning Province, is a full-time general higher vocational college. It is a national model higher vocational college, a national high-quality higher vocational school, a key construction school under Liaoning's 'Double High' initiative, and an A-level construction unit of Liaoning's 'Xing Liao Excellence Colleges' and 'Xing Liao Excellence Professional Clusters' projects. The college is also recognized as a National Advanced Unit of Vocational Education, ranks among the Top 50 in service contributions in central and northeastern China, is an advanced unit for employment work for graduates of ordinary colleges in Liaoning Province, and serves as a national demonstration base for the inheritance of traditional skills and intangible cultural heritage (ICH) education in vocational colleges.
The school was originally established in 1979 as Dalian Management Cadre College. In 1999, it was reorganized into Dalian Vocational Technical College. In 2001, Dalian Industrial School and Dalian Normal School merged into the college. In 2007, it became a national model higher vocational college. In 2017, Dalian Newly Built School, Dalian Electronics School, and Dalian Marine School were incorporated into the college's management. In 2019, it became a national high-quality vocational college for junior colleges and merged with Dalian Radio and Television University, which was founded in 1979.
As of June 2025, the college has four campuses: Xiajiahezi, Nanguanling, Puwan, and Baiyun, covering a total area of 1,032,000 square meters. It has 13 teaching units, offering 43 higher vocational programs across 9 major professional categories. There are 13,537 full-time higher vocational students and 853 faculty and staff members, including 534 full-time teachers.
