College of Chemistry and Chemical NJUT originated from the former Central University and the Department of Chemical Engineering of Jinling University. The founder, Academician Shi Jun, is one of the advocates of China's chemical disciplines and has trained a large number of outstanding scientific, engineering and management talents represented by 18 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Sciences.
