Chongqing Vocational College of Transportation

On December 18, 2007, the Chongqing Municipal Education Commission approved the construction of the first phase of infrastructure at Chongqing Transportation Vocational College, marking the official start of the school's construction. In 2008, the main acceptance of the school's teaching buildings (transportation building, transportation engineering building) was completed. In 2009, the first batch of students (Class of 2009) began to enroll, with a total of 369 new students reporting in. From 2010 to 2011, Chongqing Vocational College of Transportation signed assistance and cooperation agreements with Chongqing Jiaotong University, Jincheng Consulting Engineering Co., Ltd., and Chongqing Pingdiqi Construction Co., Ltd.

In 2013, Chongqing Vocational College of Transportation implemented the "24 person" small class TTFSE grouping teaching mode, and at the same time offered physical fitness enhancement courses, making student military training normalized. At the beginning of the new semester in the same year, a total of 2975 new students registered. The following year, the school introduced over a hundred talents from specialized fields of universities such as Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University. In 2015, Chongqing Vocational College of Transportation conducted its first independent enrollment examination. In 2017, the school was approved as a university for targeted training of non commissioned officers by the Chinese People's Liberation Army, and began to recruit the first batch of targeted training non commissioned officer students.

In 2018, Chongqing Vocational College of Transportation introduced AHK German vocational qualification certification, and at the same time, AHK Chongqing Vocational College of Transportation established the Sino German Training Center. In 2021, the school was recognized as a high-quality higher vocational college in Chongqing and was approved as a high-level vocational college and professional group project construction and cultivation unit in Chongqing.

By May 2025, the school has 1 Changjiang Scholar, 6 tertiary professors, 1 May Day Labor Medal winner in Chongqing, 1 model worker in Chongqing, 1 Bayu scholar, 1 most beautiful craftsman in Bayu, 3 young and middle-aged backbone teachers in universities in Chongqing, 3 most beautiful teachers in Chongqing, and 138 AHK Sino German dual system trainers. The training teachers come from large enterprises and school run enterprises, holding titles such as senior engineer, engineer, and senior technician. In order to further improve the level of teaching staff, in recent years, the school has introduced more than 100 outstanding talents with master's degrees or above from "985" and "211" universities such as Peking University, Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Tongji University, Renmin University, Fudan University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Zhongzheng University, Beijing Foreign Studies University, and Beijing Sport University.

As of May 2025, the college has 11 key characteristic majors, including 1 national vocational college transportation demonstration major, 2 Chongqing backbone majors, and 1 Chongqing key training base.

In 2022, the school won one national level teaching achievement award recommendation and seven provincial and ministerial level teaching achievement awards. The school ranked 35th in the 2022 National College Student Competition.
