Chongqing Telecommunication Polytechnic College is located in Jiangjin Shuangfu New Area, Chongqing, referred to as Telecommunications College, supervised by the Chongqing Municipal Education Commission, and is a full-time general higher education institution approved by the Chongqing Municipal People's Government and registered by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China.
In 2001, Chongqing Binxin Group and Chongqing Institute of Communications jointly established Chongqing Institute of Communications. In 2008, enrollment was stopped due to military policy adjustments. In 2009, in order to meet the needs of regional economic and social development, Chongqing Binxin Group established Chongqing Jiangjin Vocational College on the basis of the former Chongqing Institute of Communications. In March 2010, it was renamed Chongqing Telecommunications Vocational College. In 2015, it was awarded the first batch of "College Student Entrepreneurship Incubation Demonstration Bases" in Chongqing. In May 2018, the school's Alibaba Cloud Big Data Academy was officially inaugurated. In September 2019, Chongqing Telecommunications Vocational College established the Veterans College. On November 16, 2023, the National Defense Education College of Chongqing Telecommunications Vocational College was inaugurated. On December 15, the unveiling ceremony of the postdoctoral research workstation of Chongqing Telecommunications Vocational College was held in the academic lecture hall. On June 4, 2024, Jiangjin District's first university expansion veterans service station was inaugurated at Chongqing Telecommunications Vocational College.
