Chongqing Industry Polytechnic College is a full-time public ordinary institution of higher learning approved by Chongqing Municipal People's Government and registered by Ministry of Education. CQIPC adheres to the socialism-oriented guideline for education and aims to cultivate talents with good moral character and competence. The orientation of the college is to cultivate applied, compound, innovative, high-quality and high-skilled talents with good moral qualities, courage to explore and innovate, employability and entrepreneurial ability in the areas of equipment manufacturing, automotive, electronic information, and modern service industries. It is one of the first 28 national model tertiary colleges in China and also one of the first industry-education integration project schools initiated by National Development and Reform Commission. In 2017, it ranked first in Southwest China in the competitiveness ranking of Chinese higher vocational colleges.
