Chifeng University is located in Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia, the birthplace of the famous "Hongshan Culture". The school was founded in 1957 as Chifeng Normal School. In 2003, it was renamed Chifeng University and upgraded to an undergraduate university. In 2018, it became a master's degree-granting institution. In 2011, as the first university to be evaluated in the new round of national undergraduate teaching evaluation, the university successfully passed the evaluation and was selected into the national universities to promote the establishment of advanced typical case database by evaluation.
