Changde Vocational Technical College
Changde Polytechnic is a comprehensive higher vocational college organized by the People's Government of Hunan Province, supervised by the People's Government of Changde city and managed by the Department of Education of Hunan Province. Approved by the People's Government of Hunan Province in April 2003, changde Agricultural School, Changde Health School and Changde Mechanical and electrical Engineering School were merged to form the college. The school can be traced back to 1905 (the thirty-first year of the Reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty) when hunan Agricultural School was established in Changsha. The school was awarded the excellent grade in the Talent Training Level Assessment of the Ministry of Education in 2006, and passed the second talent Training assessment of the Ministry of Education in 2011. The college covers an area of 1070 mu, with a building area of 365,600 square meters. The total value of fixed assets is 439 million YUAN, and the total value of teaching and research equipment is 148 million yuan. The college has a collection of 906,000 paper books. At present, the college has 1161 faculty and staff (762 of them are from the college and 399 from the Affiliated First Hospital), 593 full-time teachers and 286 teachers with senior professional titles, including 41 teachers with senior professional titles. There are 407 teachers with doctor and master degrees. There are 14,517 full-time students in vocational colleges.
