BinZhou Polytechnic

Binzhou Polytechnic was founded in 1954 and was established in July 2001 through the merger of Binzhou Agricultural School, Binzhou Health School, Binzhou Industrial School, Binzhou Economic School and the Municipal Agricultural Research Institute. It is one of the first batch of national backbone colleges and a national high-quality school. The school covers an area of 2,263.49 mu and has a building area of 650,600 square meters. There are 21,501 students and 1,209 full-time teachers, with a student-to-teacher ratio of 17.78:1. The value of teaching and research equipment is 267 million yuan. The library has 2.2934 million volumes. The school has won 26 national and provincial top teaching achievement awards in the past two sessions. From 2020 to 2024, the school has received 91.3169 million yuan in income from horizontal technical services and vocational training, and has completed non-academic training for 346,700 people.

The school closely aligns with the "Top Ten" industries in Shandong Province and the "5210N" advanced manufacturing cluster in Binzhou City. Relying on platforms such as the National Nonferrous Metals Industry Industry-Education Integration Consortium, it collaborates with world 500-strong enterprises such as Weiqiao Group to build a "244" professional group development system led by equipment manufacturing and smart health care. It innovatively implements the "professional equals industry, enrollment equals employment, graduation equals job" educational model, and builds an integrated training system from secondary to higher vocational and undergraduate education. It undertakes 10 national-level reform tasks including the "101" plan for vocational education, on-site engineer training, and digital campus construction in vocational colleges. The school's graduates have an employment rate of over 98%, and over 80% have grown into managers and technical backbones at the grassroots level and above. It adheres to "grounded" research, has obtained 399 research projects at the provincial level and above, including projects from the Natural Science Foundation of Shandong Province. The sucrose isomerase strain jointly developed by the school and enterprises has supported the listing of San Yuan Biology, the world's largest erythritol manufacturer, raising 3.686 billion yuan in the initial public offering. According to the arrangement of the Ministry of Education, the school leads the construction of China-Guinea University of Engineering and Technology. It has established the "Lu Binzhi" vocational education research think tank and participated in the revision of the "Vocational Education Law", and has developed over 30 national and provincial policy documents.
