It also builds a bridge for athletes to successfully transition to employment after retirement.
The Sports Training major is committed to cultivating sports professionals who have basic theoretical knowledge of competitive sports and can engage in sports training, training management and related work in sports teams, amateur sports schools and other departments.
To implement Beijing's development plan for ice and snow sports, i.e., to implement the spirit of the "1+7" document, the college began enrolling students for ice and snow majors in Beijing and Hebei Province in 2016. It has signed "Intentions for Co-constructing Ice and Snow Majors" and "School-Enterprise Cooperation Agreements" with many ice and snow enterprises such as Wanlong Resort and Beijing Century Star Skating Club Co., Ltd. Among them, it has jointly set up an ice hockey order class with Beijing Huaxing Brilliant Sports Management Co., Ltd., and signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Kajaanin Urheiluopisto (Kajaani Sports Institute) in Finland to actively expand international cooperation and exchanges in ice and snow talent training.
Since 2018, in accordance with market demand and giving play to its main advantages, the college has cooperated with Qiqu Tongnian Sports Center, Qudong Lvcheng Sports Development Co., Ltd., and Geyimei Tongqu Sports Co., Ltd. to set up a professional direction of children's physical intelligence training. It has successively cooperated with China Gold Education Technology Group, Asian Institute of Rehabilitation and Physical Fitness, and the Sports Hospital of the General Administration of Sport of China to offer a professional direction of sports rehabilitation, filling the long-term shortage of professional talents in the fields of children's physical education and sports rehabilitation therapy, which has been recognized by candidates and widely concerned by the society.
Under the background of the Party and the country promoting the construction of a Healthy China, seizing the opportunity of successfully bidding for the 2022 Winter Olympics, and relying on the rapid development of the sports industry brought about by the extensive development of national fitness activities, it is believed that under the correct leadership of the Party Group of the Municipal Sports Bureau and with the support and guidance of the Municipal Education Commission, the college will continue to cultivate more and better skilled applied talents for the sustainable development of Beijing's competitive sports and the development of Beijing's sports industry.
