

Beijing College of Finance and Commerce is a full-time public higher vocational college approved by the Beijing Municipal People's Government. It is a national model higher vocational college, a national university with typical experience in graduate employment, and a national advanced unit in vocational education. It is also a Capital Civilized Unit, a model campus for safety among Beijing universities, and a model digital campus among Beijing municipal universities.
The predecessor of the college was the Beijing Finance and Trade Cadre School. In 1981, it was restructured into the Beijing Institute of Finance and Trade Management. In 2003, with the approval of the Beijing Municipal People's Government, Beijing College of Finance and Commerce was established.
As of December 2024, the college has four campuses: the main campus, Dongcheng, Chaoyang, and Zhuozhou, with a total area of 297,348 square meters. It has 11 secondary colleges offering 29 higher vocational programs, with more than 6,000 full-time students and 620 faculty members.
Teaching Achievements:
As of December 2024, the school has won 36 national and Beijing municipal teaching achievement awards in vocational education, including 1 first prize and 4 second prizes at the national level. Over the past five years, students have won 33 various awards in the National Vocational College Skills Competition, including 3 gold medals, 4 silver medals and 2 bronze medals in the 2024 World Vocational College Skills Competition; and 151 various awards in the Beijing Vocational College Skills Competition.
Research Platforms:
As of December 2024, the school has the first provincial-level philosophy and social sciences research base among Beijing's vocational colleges - the Beijing International Trade Center Research Base. It has two research institutions: the Institute of Business and the Institute of Higher Vocational Education. It has also established the Beijing Business Culture Technology Innovation Platform and the Beijing Time-honored Brand Research Base.
Research Achievements:
As of December 2024, the school has completed over 1,000 applied research achievements and more than 60 projects such as government planning projects.
Awards Received
According to the school's official website in April 2023, students won 7 second prizes and 15 third prizes in the National Vocational College Skills Competition, with the total number of awards ranking among the top in the country; in the Beijing Vocational College Skills Competition, they won 29 first prizes, 44 second prizes and 18 third prizes.
