Baiyin Vocational College of Mining And Metalurgy is located in Baiyin, Gansu Province, which is known as the "Copper City" of China's non-ferrous metal industry base. The school was formerly known as Baiyin Company Technical School in 1958 and Baiyin Non-ferrous Metals Staff University in 1984, and was approved by Gansu Provincial People's Government to establish Baiyin Mining and Metallurgy Vocational Technical College in 2011. 2021, after the integration of municipal vocational education resources, Gansu Jingyuan Teachers College (founded in 1935) and Baiyin Industrial School (founded in 1986) were incorporated into the school. The school has developed into a comprehensive public higher education institution, and is a "double-high plan" project construction school in Gansu Province.
The school has two campuses in the north and south, covering an area of 830 acres, with a building area of 320,000 square meters, teaching and research equipment assets worth 69.46 million yuan, a collection of 420,000 paper books, and a total of about 16T electronic library resources. 8,500 students are registered at all levels, including 7,600 full-time college students and 900 secondary school students.
