Anhui Water Conservancy Technical College was founded in 1952, formerly known as Huaihe Water Conservancy College of the Ministry of Water Resources, which is a full-time public college affiliated to the Provincial Department of Water Resources. In 2000, with the approval of the provincial people's government, Anhui Vocational and Technical College of Water Resources and Hydropower was formally established. The college is one of the 100 national and 3 national demonstration vocational colleges in the province. In 2014, approved by the Provincial Development and Reform Commission and the Department of Education, it took the lead in carrying out the four-year undergraduate education reform pilot among higher vocational colleges in the province. In 2015, it was approved by the provincial Department of Education as one of the first 16 local high-level technical universities in the province. In 2016, it was awarded the Civilized Unit of Anhui Province. In 2017, it was awarded as one of the Top 50 Teaching Resources of National Higher Vocational Colleges. In 2018, it was approved as one of the first batch of construction units of high-quality higher vocational colleges of water conservancy in China (5 universities), modern apprenticeship pilot schools of the Ministry of Education, one of the first batch of pilot colleges of comprehensive reform of "Three-integrity education" in the province (11 universities, including 2 vocational colleges), and one of the first batch of school-enterprise cooperation demonstration schools in the province. In 2019, the college was approved as national High quality vocational colleges (8 in the province), National Top 100 Competitive colleges of higher Vocational colleges (3 in the province), national 1+X certificate system pilot university, provincial benchmark university for higher Vocational Development and provincial pilot university for construction of network Ideological and Political Center (1 in the province). In December 2019, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance officially announced the list of High-level Vocational Schools and high-level professional Development plans with Chinese characteristics. A total of 197 vocational schools were selected, and the college stood out among more than 1,400 vocational colleges and universities in China. 【 Infrastructure】 The College is located in Hefei, the capital of Anhui Province, with convenient transportation and beautiful environment.
