Guangzhou College of Technology and Business is a non-profit, private full-time undergraduate college, founded in 1995, established in 2004 as Guangzhou Business Vocational College, in 2014 with the approval of the Ministry of Education, upgraded to undergraduate, renamed Guangzhou College of Technology and Business. In 2018, it was approved as a bachelor's degree granting unit, and in 2021, it was approved as a master's degree granting project construction unit in Guangdong Province and a new doctoral workstation station unit in Guangdong Province.

The college has 14 teaching units and 33 undergraduate programs, including 3 Chinese-foreign cooperative programs, which realize the coordinated development of economics, management, engineering, literature, art and education. There are 28,344 full-time students, including 27,923 undergraduates, accounting for 98.51%. The college has been approved to build 1 national first-class undergraduate major, 3 provincial first-class undergraduate major construction points, 23 provincial first-class courses and curriculum ideological and political demonstration courses; It has a number of key disciplines with provincial characteristics, pilot specialties of provincial comprehensive reform and specialties with provincial characteristics. It has a provincial teacher teaching development center and four provincial curriculum teaching and research rooms. The campus covers an area of 926714.42 square meters, the building area is 943561.52 square meters, the teaching and administrative room area is 314814.3 square meters, and the average student is 11.11 square meters. 126 experimental (practical training) rooms on campus, 203 off-campus practice teaching bases; The total value of teaching and research equipment is 163 million yuan, and the average student is 5614.61 yuan. Actively promote the construction of application-oriented undergraduate universities, deepen the integration of production and education, and carry out joint training between colleges and enterprises, and have set up eight industrial colleges in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Smart Cold Chain, cross-border e-commerce, big data and artificial intelligence, among which the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Smart Cold Chain Industry College has been approved as a demonstration industrial college in Guangdong Province. Give full play to the professional advantages of the discipline, take the initiative to serve regional economic and social development, and issue the "Construction Norms for the integration of production and education in cross-border E-commerce" at the 2022 World Cross-border E-commerce Conference, providing the "Guangzhou Standard" and "Guangzhou Wisdom" that can be copied and promoted.
